Iceland 2015: Going to Jokulsarlon

Winter 2015
Iceland

Jokulsarlon is a glacial lagoon.
It is basically melted ice (ie. water) from the glacier, flowing into a lake and then to the sea. Some half melted/half-frozen blocks floating around because they can.
This is the raw nature at its best.

This is place is just about a 100m out of the Ring Road and they have a big signboard telling you where you are.
Like most places in Iceland, its quite hard to get lost as long as you stick to tar roads.

Bran running back to the car to get the other cameras because one isn't good enough.

There were seals in the lagoon! Thou, they were not too keen on being active and playful.

The entire time I was in Iceland, snow was a few inches thick.
Bad is when it is knee-deep.

Opposite the Jokulsarlon, I found a beach with random ice blocks chilling by the black beach.

With so much ice making most of its landscape, I could only wonder what summer in Iceland looks like.
Definitely a place calling for a return trip.
