Ormskirk

21st September 2014
Omskirk, Lancashire
+ Bran and friends

Omskirk is one of those places untouched by modernity and technological advancement. It's a small town but the cabbie told me there must be about 20 churches/chapels in that small town.
Aside old folks, university students nearby are the next majority population.
Took a 45 minutes train there from Liverpool.

We went there for a breakfast canal cruise on invitation by our friend.
The canal leads all the way to Leeds, there's signboards if you get lost.
It's not the cleanest, there's weed and dump sides all over the canal.

We stopped in a few places along the cruise.

Ormskirk is one of those perfect places to have a slow stroll.
That's what we did after breakfast, with perfect weather to boost.

We took a cabbie back to the train station after our stroll.
A 50quid was all we had and so when we gave the cabbie our money, he told us that our 50 was the first one he saw in about 10 years.
What a revelation.
I could burn 50 in a grocery store, even before I get everything on my list.
