China (Shanghai)
w. mummy
Planned the trip about 6 months ahead, starting from an impulsive buy at 2013's September MATTA fair. It was so cheap, so what have i got to lose!
I bought a full ground travel package for Beijing for two (RM150 x 2) and decided to extend the trip to Shanghai. Never a fan of travel packages but RM300 for two is a siren call.
Accommodation @ SSAW Shanghai, Renmin Lu
I pride myself on the fact that I usually dig the deepest tunnels to find the best value accommodation. This place sure feels like a 4star with the price of a 2star.
However, if you are travelling with friends & family, specifically of the opposite gender, I'm not sure how the hotel's 'open' concept toilet will work out for you. I love it, but hey, I was with my mom. #sheraisedme
If you have the time, visit Zhujiajiao.
Re-live the authentic China, like the ones you see on TVB drama (Chinese drama).
Bought some really big and delicious strawberries at Zhujiajiao from a old lady growing some small produce for a bit of money.

I may not be the most religious person, but the grandeur of God still impresses me.
Especially if they are coloured in gold and has a red cape.

The Maglev train, fastest when I was riding it.
I intentionally took a taxi to Maglev's station instead of taking on direct to the airport just because I really want to have a ride.
Maglev's station is located at the most inconvenient place and so taxi was the easiest route to the station. If I remember correctly, its the last-ish stop from the city centre line and you would still have to walk a bit during the transit.

Shanghai World Financial Centre, you pay to go up but take my word when I say not to go up on foggy nights.
love. that. hat.
I have no idea what this is but if I could go back, I would buy that whole tray because it's soooo good.
That steam during winter was too perfect as well.
I am a sucker for flowers.
A garden like this (Yu Garden, paid entry) is a lighthouse beacon to my ship.
Slenderman (a terrifying video game character) at the Pu Dong airport terminal.
